JOB TITLE:Full Time Lab Technician

EMPLOYER: OmniLytics, Inc.

LOCATION: Salt Lake City, Utah

RESPONSIBILITIES: Analysis Lab Technician sought by early stage company developing infectious disease remediation products to become part of their dynamic growing biotech team. This is an exciting opportunity that will allow an entry-level candidate to grow with the team.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Ideal candidate will have a college degree in Microbiology or related science field.
• Previous work-related skill, knowledge, or experience is desired.
• Must be very hands-on as this is a bench-level position.
• Must be highly motivated with a positive attitude and have the ability to multi-task effectively and adapt quickly to rapidly developing opportunities.
• Must possess strong interpersonal, report writing, and oral communication skills.
• Must possess good organizational skills and the ability to work effectively in a team and multi-project environment.

DUTIES INCLUDE (but are not limited to):

• Receive and prepare laboratory samples for analysis, following proper protocols to ensure that they will be stored, prepared, and disposed of efficiently and effectively.
• Culture and characterize a wide variety of BioSafety Level 2 organisms (bacteria, viruses, and fungi).
• Record data pertaining to results.
• Prepare data summaries, reports, and analyses that include results.
• Adjust testing equipment, and prepare culture media, following standard procedures.
• Operate laboratory equipment.

SALARY RANGE: Commensurate with background and experience level.

JOB DURATION: Full-Time/Permanent.
