JOB TITLE: Research Microbiologist

EMPLOYER: OmniLytics, Inc.

LOCATION: Salt Lake City, Utah

RESPONSIBILITIES: Research Microbiologist sought by early stage company developing infectious disease remediation products to become part of their dynamic growing biotech team. This is an exciting opportunity that will allow an entry-level candidate to grow with the team. Duties include culturing and characterizing a wide variety of BioSafety Level 2 organisms (bacteria, viruses, and fungi).

REQUIREMENTS: Ph.D. in Microbiology and/or minor in microbial genetics, plant pathology, physiology, virology, and/or biochemistry OR a Master’s Degree with at least 2 years of related research lab experience. Must be very hands-on as this is a bench-level position. Experience with bacteriophage, bacteria pathogens, viruses or genetic research a plus. Must be highly motivated with a positive attitude and have the ability to multi-task effectively and adapt quickly to rapidly developing opportunities. Must possess strong interpersonal, report writing, and oral communication skills. Must possess good organizational skills and the ability to work effectively in a team and multi-project environment. SALARY RANGE: Commensurate with background and experience level. Competitive compensation package, including health insurance.
